Saxdor Yachts is a brand well-known for affordable and powerful sports boats. Since their launch in 2019, the brand has become widely popular among boaters with two model ranges, Saxdor 200 and Saxdor 320. Now, in September of 2022, Saxdor Yachts presents the brand-new Saxdor 270 and the expectations are high.
Sakari Mattila, the founder and chief designer of Saxdor Yachts, says: “The 200 and 320 have proved extremely popular with customers. With great excitement, we introduce the 270 GTO to the market. With the same focus on performance, design, and value for money, this boat is one of the most versatile in its category. 270 and the coming 400 model range are the next steps of the Saxdor fleet.” You may know him also as the founder of Axopar, XO, Aquador, and Paragon.
So, here’s what we know about the new launch!
Saxdor 270 GTO
The first and so far only model in the range, Saxdor 270 GTO, has many exciting features. Firstly, there is a wet bar and face-to-face seating for up to six people, quite unusual for a boat this size. Secondly, the deep portside sidewalk makes moving around the boat much easier. Then, the convertible dinette adds more sunbathing area in the aft. Lastly, the boat is symmetrical and balanced, and the glass transom is an excellent addition to the overall safety on board.
Living spaces
Saxdor 270 features a comfortable sleeping cabin with a double berth that’s perfect for two, a toilet and a sink. The entire space is enlarged by the abundance of natural light that comes from the skylight and hatches. All in all, Saxdor 270 is not only a fast day boat, but an amazing weekender!
High performance and fuel efficiency
One of the Saxdor signatures, light and soft-riding twin-stepped hull is visible on Saxdor 270, too. This results in both exceptional speed performance and fuel efficiency. The overall boat stability is improved by a deep V entry hull which reduces the impacts of the waves.
The boat is so light that you can effortlessly trail it by road.
Saxdor 270 is fitted for one outboard engine, from 225 to 350 hp. However, the economical design makes no compromises on the surprisingly low fuel consumption.
Saxdor 270: World premiere
The versatile new sports boat Saxdor 270 GTO is premiering just now at the Southampton International Boat Show (16 – 25 September, 2022).
Even though it’s joining the 30’ sports boat category, this boat has many solutions that are usually seen on much more pricey yachts. Saxdor Group’s CEO Erna Rusi says: “The new SX270 will nicely expand our fleet, offering more yet again “more bang for the buck” – it’s a fantastic boat in its range!”
Croatian premiere
The much anticipated Croatian premiere of the new Saxdor 270 will take place at the Biograd Boat Show (26 – 30 October, 2022), Croatia’s Largest Boat Show and Central Europe’s in-water boat show.
